Belly Fat – How to Lose It
The question on everybody’s mind is, belly fat, how do I lose it? Well, losing belly fat doesn’t have to be hard. In this article we will be discussing the best way for you to lose belly fat by changing aspects in your daily life.
Firstly, it is important to understand that the reason you have fat that covers the belly is because it is the place that your body naturally stores fat. The reason for this is simple, it’s referred to by doctors as the android shape, in which the body stores fat around the belly before it begins to store it else where. Another thing to note is that the first place you gain fat on your body is the last place you lose it, that is why belly fat is hard to lose.
Enough talk about belly fat, here’s how to lose it:
You need to start exercising, however, don’t worry. This doesn’t mean joining a gym or hiring an expensive personal trainer. Instead, we’re going to start some low intensity exercise, in particular walking. Studies have shown that low-intensity exercise is the best for burning fat as the body uses fat during low-intensity exercise and saves carbohydrates for high-intensity exercise.
For that reason, I recommend you walk for at least 30 minutes 4 times a day. This could include talking the dog for a walk or parking your car further away from the shops when you go shopping. In addition to this, you can also start swimming or cycling and if you work in a multi-store office, use the stairs instead of the elevator.
You will be genuinely surprised how easy it is to lose belly fat when you slightly increase the amount of exercise you do each day. However, that isn’t the end of the story, you will also need to change the diet.
In terms of diet choices, it is strongly recommend that you avoid fatty foods and foods that are high in simple carbohydrates (also known as sugars) these are just empty calories. On the other hand, it is also recommend that you consume foods that are high in complex carbohydrates such as brown rice and pasta as these will keep you full for longer and reduce the desire to snack.
Essentially your aim is to reduce the amount of sugar you consume, this can be successfully achieved by not adding sugar to your tea or coffee and avoiding fruit juice, candy and soda (these are all very high in sugar). It is also recommended that you substitute one meal, either lunch or dinner with a protein shake. The protein shake should contain 100% whey protein and be low in carbohydrates (preferably artificially sweetened).
Here’s a quick tip to make the shake: Add 1 scoop of protein powder, add the recommended amount of water (don’t use milk – it has the sugar; lactose) and here’s the kicker, add a frozen banana as this will thicken the shake and keeps you fuller for longer.
Quite simple, with belly fat how to lose it, you want to focus on reducing the amount of sugar you consume each day. Increase the amount of exercise that you perform every day, in particular you want to focus on low-intensity exercise. You also need to substitute 1 meal of the day with a protein shake, using this you can easily lose belly fat.
