The good thing is that you do not have to run out and join a gym. You can easily get started at home without spending a single penny. Begin by getting up an hour earlier and take a walk around that block for 30 minutes. This may seem difficult after all we all love our sleep; but you have to ask yourself “how bad do I want to lose weight?”

Celebrate your successes. If you notice that you can fit into a certain piece of clothing that you once could not; then go out and buy a new outfit or something that you love.Get your family to support you in this endeavor. Explain to them that it’s more about being healthy than it is about appearances.

Make it a family affair and help each other get into shape. This is after all a lifestyle change. You want to make sure that you avoid getting trapped into believing the hype on infomercials or advertisements that are going to try to suck you into believing that if you just purchase the next “hot” item that the weight will fall off.
